Between Two Edges

The genesis of my AI filmmaking journey, and the highly personal themes I explore, is rooted in music. In December 2024, the core concept for my first major project began to take shape through the creation of a deeply symbolic short story, The Edge of Us (though it remained unpublished). This narrative—exploring the isolating grip of despair—directly inspired the first song, “Cliff’s Edge”. Leveraging the impressive capabilities of Suno for music generation and assisted by AI for crafting the melancholic English lyrics, this track became a raw, sonic expression of being perpetually trapped on the psychological precipice. It was a candid reflection of an internal struggle, providing a voice to the shadows and the feeling that hope was simply a distant, unattainable luxury.

However, after creating “Cliff’s Edge,” I realized the expression felt overwhelmingly bleak, lacking the emotional complexity required for a true narrative. My personal perspective, I understood, was not just about darkness, but the fierce fight against it. This introspection spurred the immediate creation of a necessary counterpoint: “Hope’s Edge”. This second track represented the fragile possibility of resolve, the quiet, courageous choice to begin again. By packaging these two contrasting yet inseparable pieces—the struggle and the breakthrough—into the single Between Two Edges, I established the foundational narrative arc. Crucially, this musical work was not an end point; it was the essential, emotionally resonant blueprint that quickly escalated into my debut AI film, Cliff’s Edge: Shattered, solidifying the thematic core of my subsequent cinematic work.
